Naruto 6: Road to Ninja (劇場版 NARUTO-ナルト- ロード・トゥ・ニンジャ, Gekijōban Naruto: Rōdo Tu Ninja) is the ninth overall Naruto film and sixth Naruto: Shippūden film which will be released on July 28, 2012 in Japanese theatres.

Plot

An anime version of the promotional poster of the movie.
Sixteen years ago, a gigantic demon beast known as the Nine-Tails was released from its jinchūriki by an unknown shinobi wearing a mask. The village of Konohagakure was close to destruction by the attack of the Nine-Tails, but the village was saved by its leader. Minato Namikaze and his wife Kushina Uzumaki — who was the jinchūriki at the time of the attack, sealed away the demon inside their new born son: Naruto Uzumaki. However, this act of saving the village cost them their lives and they left the future of the ninja world to Naruto.
With the Nine-Tails sealed away, things continued as normal. However, the peace of the village did not last long, for Pain, Konan, Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, Sasori, Deidara, Hidan and Kakuzu — members of a dreaded organisation called the Akatsuki — attacked Konohagakure. Naruto narrowly managed to launch a counter-attack but why have these shinobi appeared when all of them were meant to have died? The mystery remains, but the shinobi are praised by their families for completing such a dangerous mission. However, one of them who has never known the faces of his parents, Naruto, cannot help but feel lonely. At that exact time, suddenly, the masked man makes his appearance in Konoha. Naruto and Sakura are both attacked by the man's mysterious new dōjutsu.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation to Provide "Naruto: Road to Ninja" Theme

Band provided the anime's theme in 2003, new film opens on July 25

The upcoming Naruto Shippuden film, Road to Ninja, now has its theme song performer lined up. Rock group Asian Kung-Fu Generation will be wailing away on the song when the film hits Japanese theaters on July 28.

The song is "Sore Dewa, Mata Ashita," and the single will be released on July 25. It's fitting that Asian Kung-Fu Generation return to Naruto, as the group performed the opening theme "Haruka Kanata" back in 2003. The band's vocalist, Masafumi Goto, comments on the impact this had on their popularity:

"Thanks to Naruto, we now have fans in South America, Europe, and Asia," he said. "It's a great honor to have been chosen to sing the main theme for the (Naruto) movie."

Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto elaborated on the thought process behind choosing the band. "I have been deeply involved with this movie since the initial planning stages," he said. "When I thought about who I'd want singing the theme song, I thought about Asian Kung-Fu Generation, who was in charge of the anime's opening theme in its early days. This movie will be complete once this song has been put into it!"

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 formally announced

Whether it was down to the slip of an itchy finger or not, the official website for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 opened earlier this week, but Namco Bandai has only more recently formally announced the publisher’s next fighter in the latest edition of Japanese manga magazine, Shonen Jump.

Details are slim at the moment, but information extracted from the pages of Shonen Jump reveal a 2013 release date for Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, as well as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as key platforms.
CyberConnect2 will once again handle development duties for Namco Bandai, and the game will take us up to the franchise’s story arc involving the war and Nine Tails Invasion of Naruto Shippuden. Boss battles named so far include enemies such as ‘Minato Vs. the Masked Man’ and ‘Third Hokage Vs. the Nine Tailed Demon Fox.’
Expect a formal Western announcement with screens (and possibly a teaser trailer) a little later in the year.

Believe it, otaku. 2013 could be the end of the long-running "Naruto" manga, and with it, the Naruto Ninja Storm series. The next release, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 promises to be the definitive game--which says a lot since every game released plays as the story revealed so far into the manga and anime's run. Japanator have high expectations since this game would bring back all of developer Cyberconnect 2, which more of the visually inventive and themeatically bonkers staff were busy pouring all their rage into Asura's Wrath quick-time events.

The third Ultimate Ninja Storm hints it'll go all the way to the end of the series, which is currently wrapping up in the manga around a great ninja war between the five hidden villages and an army of plant clones (no, really) led by a side character that became a chimera of other characters (keep going) under the thumb of an undead 200+-year old ninja (wait for it) who wants to brainwash the world with the moon. There're also massive beasts, gigantic energy blasts and incredible moments of super weapons being unveiled as if it's easy to forget you can punch a hole in a mountain because you weren't serious yet.
This is coming after the mildly lackluster Naruto Ultimate NInja Storm Generations which was more of a cash grab and in-between game, drawing upon a roster of earlier Naruto characters and their aged counterparts. Now we can have the definitive roster, something which all of those Dragon Ball Z games seemed to promise every other year since Budokai Tenkaichi.
At least with this game, we can dattebayo. Uh, believe it.
